ABOUT DEBAZ ACCESOIRE
Launched in 2006, Debaz specializes in natural/traditional headwear, the fusion of three cultures: Caribbean, African and European. Debaz is a French Creole expression meaning "dressed to kill" and that is definitely represented in these tailor-made, limited series as well as unique/signature pieces! The Debaz concept revolves around headwraps an every day accessory, both convenient and easy to wear. Debaz turbans are fixed with a clever velcro patch. The hats are made with a variety of fabric: wax (African fabric produced in Holland), bogolan (from Mali), cotton, and madras (colorful Caribbean patchwork design). Debaz is for every woman, an elegant way "to carry one's head," a Queen-like silhouette ("incontournable" in fashion: "a must have").

So you're Transitioning...
Lots of people in Jamaican are making the decision to go natural. For that reason we have also provide a page on the topic of transitioning with style tips, products tips and other advice for those who have made the decision or those thinking about it. We asked our Facebookfriends to chime and and tell us: What advice would you give someone who wants to go natural? Nicky McFarlane, natural for a few months, passes on the following sounds words of wisdom.
ASK, ASK and ASK AGAIN: Ask lots and lots of questions. The more you know, the more you'll be prepared and the less intimidated you'll feel by your hair and the journey! The first time I went natural, I didn't last because I didn't have nearly as much knowledge and support as I do now. It makes ALL the difference in the world.
PREPARATION: Prepare for days when you're going to be obsessed with your hair and days when you want to curse it to hell and back. But know that those moments are fleeting and they're NORMAL. Prepare for strange looks, questions and comments that may be offensive. Try not to take them to heart. As long as you're confident in your relationship with your hair, then no one can tear it asunder :)
RESPECT: Just as you want people to respect your decision to be natural, respect their decision to NOT be natural.
LOVE & AFFIRMATION: Tell your hair something nice everyday - compliment it, and compliment yourself. Look in a mirror and smile at least twice a day :)
RE-LEARN: You may have to re-programme your thinking based on what you've been taught all your life about aesthetics and beauty. Your natural hair is not going to behave the same way your relaxed hair did - so you'll have to re-learn its likes/dislikes and habits.
BE FLEXIBLE: Learn how to spin a bad hair day on its head and make it work for you. The same goes for any negative energy that people may have to throw your way.
SHARE: The more you share, the more you stand to help someone else - and the cycle will continue.
One love :)
